RHYTHM 2019
Celebrating The Dreams And Hopes of The Children of SOFKIN
On Saturday, November 9th, Cross Roads South Middle School in Monmouth Junction was filled with the sounds and excitement of music and dance of India as SOFKIN
(Support Organization for Kids in Need) held its annual fundraising event - RHYTHM 2019.
This years dance groups included Mritya Madhavi School of Dance of Edison, Shiva Jyothi Dance Academy of New Jersey, and several performances by Shishya School
of Performing Arts of Lawrenceville. The young women of these groups performed exciting classical and semi-classical dances that had the audience enthralled.
The annual event provides support for brightening the lives of the children of SOFKIN, a non-profit organization founded by Chaya Pamula, President and CEO of PamTen, Inc.
SOFKIN cares for destitute and neglected children in India. Currently, there are over 70 children being cared for in the SOFKIN homes.
The children are given food, medical attention, clothing, education, a safe home, and above all, the they are given the utmost love, care, and encouragement
that nurtures their dream for a better life and future. Without SOFKIN, many of these children would be starving, abused, or would not make their next birthday.
The SOFKIN mission is to "Support the upbringing of under privileged children, irrespective of name or nationality, caste or creed, race or religion by
providing basic amenities, education, and medical aid in a secure and healthy environment".
During RHYTHM 2019, donors that attended were thanked with plaques showing the new SOFKIN homes.
Their continuous generosity and support has made the growth of the organization possible. Event sponsors also received plaques for the
encouragement and help in bringing RHYTHM 2019 to life. Special thanks were given to India Life TV for their promotion of the event.
Chaya also thanked all of the long time SOFKIN sponsors and RHYTHM volunteers for their continued support and efforts to make this
charitable event a success.
All of the money raised at this event goes directly to support the children! The new,
spacious homes in India are finally completed and the children have moved in. SOFKIN is now able to be a home for over 100 children,
as well as providing a broader range of recreation and living space. To accommodate being able to accept additional children, this year’s
RHYTHM, and the campaign that will continue through the end of the year, is focusing on gaining new Child Sponsors. For just $60 a month,
a child receives all of the care and love of a big, nurturing family. Sponsors know that are making an immense impact on a child’s life,
one that will change their perspective for years to come. To find out more about being a Child Sponsor visit Sponsorship page
